To reflect the growing size, scope, and strategic importance of the DLMS User Association, and to further strengthen governance and operational effectiveness, the DLMS UA Board of Directors has ratified an important organizational evolution: the separation of the roles of President and Executive Director.
Effective 1 January 2026, the following leadership structure will be implemented:
- Sergio Lazzarotto, President
Sergio will focus exclusively on the role of President, with responsibility for governance oversight, compliance, and representation of DLMS UA within Standards Development Organizations (SDOs). His role also includes strategic development and engagement with liaison members. - Toufann Chaudhuri, Executive Director
Toufann will assume the role of Executive Director, responsible for the legal, administrative, and day-to-day management and operations of DLMS UA, under the supervision of the Board of Directors. - Technical Leadership Continuity
Toufann Chaudhuri will continue to serve as Technical Director on an interim basis, while DLMS UA initiates the process to recruit a permanent Technical Director.
This organizational change reflects DLMS UA’s ongoing commitment to strong governance, operational excellence, and effective service to its global membership.
