KEMA Protocol Competence Test Center (PCTC) launches new DLMS Test Suite for Smart Meters
KEMA has been leading in protocol testing in the energy sector for years, and recently we proudly launched our newest member of the Test Suite family:
The KEMA DLMS Test Suite for Smart Meters. This Test Suite is especially developed for testing the DLMS/COSEM implementation in Smart Meters.
The DLMS Test Suite consists of three products. Each of the products has been designed to fulfill the needs for both DLMS Smart Meter manufacturers and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). The products of the new DLMS Test Suite enable you to easily debug and test the key factor of Smart Meters: Communication. This makes the DLMS Test Suite an indispensable help when implementing complete Automated Metering Infrastructures.
The KEMA DLMS Test Suite includes:
> DLMS Test Facility - An extensive test environment supporting automated DLMS testing
> DLMS Analyzer - A product designed for real time monitoring of DLMS traffic
> DLMS Test Client - A convenient and lightweight tool for basic testing of DLMS servers.

DLMS Training, Consultancy & Conformance Testing
Beside test tooling, KEMA offers a two-day DLMS/COSEM training course. During this course, you will obtain up-to-date information on the communication protocol standard and hands-on experience of protocol performance analysis using the KEMA communication test tools. Our leading experts will provide you the knowledge you need regarding the capabilities and benefits of DLMS communication and recent developments in this field.
During the development of your product, KEMA can advise on the various aspects of implementing and testing DLMS/COSEM. We can help to select the appropriate COSEM objects for your Smart Meter application and define the test cases to test your products.
Next to that, KEMA offers DLMS Conformance Testing.
This service includes support in preparation for the official DLMS Conformance Test, analyzing test results and registration at the DLMS UA.
