The DLMS/COSEM standard, supported by 40+ members worldwide
As you may easily find on the DLMS UA website at http://www.dlms.com, many members of the DLMS User Association have expressed their interest in the flexible DLMS/COSEM standards. They are especially pleased to hear that the standard is published now by IEC and will be published soon by CEN. The map shows where the different members are located:
The fact that standardisation of this meter data exchange is done now and conformance tests are available, fosters the use of DLMS/COSEM. Some countries express their strong preference for DLMS/COSEM as the standard of choice for the liberalised energy market and specify it in their tenders. The membership in the DLMS User Association may therefore in future be even more profitable then until today, bearing in mind
Our Mission: In creating generic and compatible communication objects, we enable the integration of diverse systems and thus simplify operational and commercial processes. This raises the efficiency in different business sectors remarkably, independently of the brand of meters.
Our Objectives:
- In applying standards for compatible communication protocols we help to secure investments in new generations of meters and new applications
- Identification of possible applications and definition of parameters to ensure compatibility
- Active representation of our members in European and international standards organisations, having the task of standardising communication protocols
- Lobbying through potential users and standards organisations
- Definition and supervision of amendments of technical specifications in co-operation with national and international standards organisations
- Granting of a DLMS label for compatible products.
