FIRST GENERAL MEETING OF
DLMS USER ASSOCIATION
11 participants represented 9 members on October 15th in Amsterdam. The election of the Management Committee and of the auditor resulted in a larger number of committee members (Frédéric Bauer, Pierre Bezzina, Ali Inan, Karl-Heinz Paasch, Thomas Schaub). Jean-Claude Grossiord was elected as the auditor of the DLMS UA. The annual report was accepted, the approx. 1997 and budget 1998 were well received. The membership fees will not change in 1998. The fund raising is an important topic, as sponsors are still necessary to run the business of the DLMS UA.
Outlook given: The DLMS UA will be present at CIFACES (May '98 in Strasbourg) and at DA/DSM (October '98 in London). The main task for 1998 is the technical co-ordination work. DLMS typical parameters shall be defined or allocated, e.g. types of VDE, series numbers, version administration, client names, bindings to lower layers (SAP) etc. Connections to standards bodies shall be maintained through the members. Brochures will be created and other promotional efforts will take place. The next General Meeting will most probably take place in London on 28th of October 1998.
